A knee slipping from where it’s braced on the bench is all it takes for the entire group to go down in a tangle of limbs. A woman with long black hair is the only one aside from Brook who remains upright, effortlessly graceful. It’s her arm around Luffy’s shoulders that keeps him from falling, too.  “I loved it,” Luffy declares, in response to Brook’s unanswered question. “Ace would have loved it, too. Can you play it again?” “Until my arms fall off,” Brook agrees at once, already fanning his hands out over the keys, as if there’s not a bunch of people bickering noisily and wrestling with each other on all sides of him, just out of view of the camera.  Luffy grins and says, “Louder this time!”  The music that starts up is boisterous and triumphant and raucous—less of a bittersweet remembrance, more of a call for everyone to join in at the top of their lungs. And that’s exactly what everyone does. Clambering upright to hold onto each other, their voices ringing off the walls. The words of the song are clearly familiar to every one of them. The mob lunged towards me, screeching and grabbing, and I knew that if I fell I would never get up. I’ve stopped expecting mercy from anyone whose motto is ‘Be kind’ but the event last week was terrifying. I was sure in that moment, on the New Zealand leg of my ‘Let Women Speak’ tour, that the trans activists who surrounded me would trample me to death if they could. They gather in menacing groups to intimidate us and hurt us if they can, just to prevent us speaking a simple truth: that women don’t have penises, men don’t have vaginas, there is no such thing as non-binary and transitioning children is abuse.

We started these talks at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park, London and have now taken them around the UK and across the USA. The format of the event is a gathering with a microphone and amplification, livestreamed to my ‘Kellie-Jay Keen’ YouTube channel. Women can finally say what they want, protected by the group. It’s a genuine free speech event. Sydney, Brisbane and Perth events saw a few hundred women in total attend and speak about the impact transgender ideology is having upon their lives. They were afraid and yet defiant – they’ve had enough. There were tears and a triumphant resolve to bring our society back to a place where the truth has more value than virtue-signalling.

The turn towards violence came in Melbourne at our largest gathering. The police had done a pretty fine job of protecting women with buffer zones between us and the rabid trans activists. But this gathering included competing groups of woman-hating losers: trans incels to the left of me and Nazis to the right, and here we were stuck in the middle and blamed by the media and politicians for the Nazi salute that occurred. I’ve been asked following that incident whether I have sympathies with the far right, but seriously, who does? It’s a vile ideology and frankly anyone convinced by it in 2023 is pathetic. John Pesutto, the leader of the Liberals in Victoria, repeated dangerous lies about me and suspended Moira Deeming MP from his party for her association with me.

The Tasmanian event was pretty horrifying. The women who spoke were visibly terrified and an angry mob drowned out their voices with hysterical screams and cult-like mantras. Following the event, I was called ‘a Terd’ – a play on ‘Terf’ – in the Tasmanian parliament. This storm gathered pace and in New Zealand it was magnified a hundredfold. There was a case brought to the high court to try to stop me entering the country and their media started a constant spew of lies, insisting I was a dangerous anti-trans Nazi. At the border I had a two-hour interrogation and search, one hotel cancelled my reservation, and in another a threatening note was slid under my door while I slept. I had been told I would be protected by the police. That couldn’t have been further from the truth.

The big event, the one that has been in the news, was in Auckland, and the minute I arrived I felt rising fear. As the car pulled up I could see the thousands gathered to oppose me. My security gathered around me and we pushed through the hateful mob to the centre, where the local organisers and attendees were who had come to speak. Where were the police? Not one officer was in that crowd; not one officer was there to protect the brave women who turned up. Within seconds a man had tipped tomato soup all over my head. I continued to live-stream. But over the next few minutes the mob took on a life of its own. A frenzy grew until it was a deafening swell, a modern-day ‘Burn the witch’. Men started ripping down the barriers and charging forward. ‘The police aren’t coming,’ said my head of security. ‘We have to get you out.’ This meant placing me in the centre of my security and some stewards, women who had volunteered to help, pushed through the baying mob. As we moved, we stumbled. I knew that a body on a floor is fair game and ripe for stomping and kicking. When we eventually got to the outer edge of the park, the police did step in and helped get me to a car. They took me to the nearest police station where I was guarded for six hours before I had an escort of three officers to the airport. They didn’t leave until my plane took off.

That day I was told emphatically by each police officer and security that had I fallen I would have been killed. Women were injured that day, women who you may never hear about. You will never know their names. They didn’t get to hop on a plane and leave; they have to stay and live in a country that has told them their lives are not worth protecting.

When did you become a Louie? (This is about to get loooong)

I love talking about this because it’s such an interesting journey for me compared to other artists I love. I used to watch British reality tv with my grandma every year and that of course includes x-factor and strictly come dancing (and the GBBO, sewing bee, BGT etc..it was unhealthy) which usually start around the same time. We started with x-factor when leona lewis won until the last season with Louis as judge. So yes of course I watched the one with 1D and I was rooting for them during the show (and Louis was my LEAST fav only because I’d watch the xtra factor and the video diaries and he was SO loud and obnoxious and basiclly everything I find annoying in a person. Sorry it was what it was. Anyway after that season I never paid them any attention but we continued watching x-factor year after year. I've mentioned this before but when Louis was announced as the judge in 2018 I remember telling my grandma that it’s probably to draw in the 1D fans because the show was so bad at that point. Obviously I said it with eyes rolled and thinking ‘they really think they’re gonna save this shit with a kid from a boyband?’. Little did I know this guy will ruin me. Anyway as a non fan and someone who really didn’t know anything about the guy I absolutely loved him as a judge..so like a couple of weeks in I read his entire wikipedia and was 100% drinking the ‘reconnected and in love with his long term gf and has a kid with a one night stand from LA’ koolaid. And I listened to his singles at the time, loved them, added them to one of my Anghami playlist and it was chill for a while.

I have never been in a music fandom before..I’ve been in the football fandom (esp livejournal) for ages and also several movies/tv shows and books. I think most of the music I listen to are either from bands who are dead or there just isn’t a fandom big enough to exist…or I haven’t found it. Dunno..just never got into one. SO on a flight from oslo in 2019 I was reading a fic from another fandom and in the author’s note there was something about being inspired by a Larry fic and I vaguely remembered who the Larry ship is about. So when I clicked it and saw that it was THE Louis T, I went into my second rabbit hole and saw all these news singles he has out and an album that was about to come out and a show in Toronto and wow so much excitement all at once. Booked the tickets for the show which were later cancelled due to covid and then never got to see the ltwt live (rip hearing defenceless live). After that I didn’t follow up with him, I didn’t even know lthq was a thing ffs. When people say that they need to promote things on his personal IG, it’s for people like ME! Anyhoo! I still never searched him up on Tumblr until one day by chance I saw a clip from a livestream on instagram of one of his earlier shows in Texas. I didn’t even know concert livestreams were a thing tbh. So I kept on monitoring to find the source until I got to finally watch an entire show (I think it was the 4th American one, a few before the chicken nugget incident) and then somehow that led me to Tumblr and slowly I started following very very few blogs. So when did I become a Louie really? Was it 2018 when I was like ok the dude is cool I like the couple of songs he has out? Or 2019 when I booked my first concert ticket? Or in 2022 when I found the fandom on Tumblr? Also I got into 1D when I read that wiki page and it said something about him having the most writing credits. It intrigued me and was like ‘fine! I’ll give them a go I guess!’

This is neat; I would have happily gotten the Platinum badge to support even two weeks ago.

To preface, I am one of the small % of users who actually paid for ad-free. I made a point of buying from merch. I do genuinely want this site to exist and I know money is necessary for that. I started paying a year ago for ad-free in good faith bc things like tag editing being added, image descriptions, and jokey monetization like sending crabs to friends/Blazing posts made me think this site was actually improving!

And then y'all started actively ruining UX and endlessly futzing around with UI. I was paying for ad free, and my yearly re-up was coming up this September. Getting an inescapable clown ad despite paying to not have to see ads, and now being forced to have the literal center button on my UI be something I Do Not Want To Click On made me cancel & rate the app 1 star.

Things that would make me give you money again:

Add a real way to disable the Tumblr Live button. No amount of forcing me to exist in proximity to it will make me use it- it actually just makes me more recalcitrant about Live. I get if y'all are contractually obligated to include it by default with new users, but there should be a real way to turn off seeing that button.

Make Tumblr Live actually good? Idk if that's possible with your current skeevy app partner, but like- if you added Twitch/YouTube and OBS integration, more people might actually.. use it? Stop trying to be TikTok and figure out a stream niche you can actually fill. Yall are the home of weird queer artists & crazyinsane fandom communities; livestreaming isn't inherently antithetical to that, but what's been offered so far is just data-mining junk with no connection to the site as a whole.

Make ad-free actually ad-free. I don't care if it's not part and parcel of your usual ad campaigns- if I'm paying for ad free, and then I see ads, it feels like a rip-off. This is especially asinine because the .2 cents I make you for scrolling past Discount Pennywise is way less than $40 a year.

Fix the appeals process for blogs incorrectly marked as bots. I get that automation catches the wrong blogs occasionally, but I and everyone I know who has had this occur took 2-3 weeks minimum to get this fixed. It's way too common a problem for the appeals process to be this slow.

Retrain everyone on how not to be transphobic. Again. There are trans people posting absolutely normal, clothed selfies who are then having their images marked as mature. There are a lot of posts I've seen of what is Very clearly nudity in art, which is then marked Mature or taken down entirely, and this is 1000% more likely if the art is about trans people or trans themes. This is unconscionable bigotry, and I keep seeing yall say it was a mistake or an error or fixed now, and then I see the same shit happening.

Anyways. If y'all undo the Live button UI nonsense & make good faith moves on fixing some of the rest of this, I am absolutely down to sign up for ad-free again, and even this badge silliness. But I'm not going to keep paying for the privilege of my user experience getting worse.

After what had happened in the agency, you didn’t talk to anybody. Couldn’t. Not for a while, anyway. Some of the heroes who stumbled upon you that day did come back and apologize for it, but the apologies didn’t mean shit when you remembered how much they seemed to enjoy it. Aizawa came back and apologized, saying it was, “out of character,” for him, and All Might came back spurting things like, “I don’t know what came over me, please forgive me,” bullshit. You weren’t only traumatized by the whole day, but you were also mad. No, mad was an understatement. If you could subject them to the same pain and torture you went through that day, you would. Wait a minute, that’s actually a pretty good idea.. 

All Might: You weren’t sure how you'd be able to get back at Japan’s best hero, but when you were walking around the mall one day, you got some ideas. 

���Toshinori!” You blurted, that usual smile plastered across your face. 

“Oh, Y/N, how are you?”

“I’ve been pretty good. I wanted to talk about something, alone, if you have the time.”

“Oh s-sure! Y-Yes of course I have the time, let’s go right now!” All Might stuttered out quickly. You lured him into the backroom, right next door to the bathrooms. After you made sure he was comfortable is when you set your plan in motion. 

“Sorry this is a bit sudden,” you begin, “but I just wanted to talk about what happened that day.”

“Oh, Y/N, we really don’t need to! I’m really sorry-”

“No, we need to. And I’ll be doing the talking.” You walk up to him and shut his jaw. “You see, when I got stuck inside the wall that day, and the first person to find me was the strongest, best hero out there, I was relieved, truly. I thought to myself, ‘thank god All Might’s here to save me.’ You and I both know what happened instead of that. And I know you’ve apologized, I know you, “didn’t mean to”, but that doesn’t change the fact that it happened, Toshi. It also doesn’t change the fact that every time I walk by ANY of you, all surrounding people have to let out a snicker that they think I can’t hear. Toshinori, I’m not asking for an apology. I want you, all of you, to feel exactly what I felt that day. The embarrassment, the pain, and the humiliation.”

“Y/N I…” he stammers. 

“Uh Uh, I’m not finished yet,” you look at him and shake your finger as if he was your  dog, “What would people think if they saw Japan’s #1 hero down on his knees for some secretary that works for him? Huh?” You lock the door behind you and grab quirk cancelling cuffs from a box. 

“Please, you really don’t have to… I get you’re mad, but this isn’t the way to go about things..” 

“Don’t start acting all professional and mature now, Toshi, it won’t save you.” You say bluntly. 

After a bit of resistance and pleading, you finally got the cuffs on All Might’s limbs. You headed back over to the box and pulled out the long, red white and blue dildo you saw in that sex shop’s window yesterday. You see the fear instilled in All Might’s eyes when he realizes what’s to come. You were ever so nice enough to put some lube on it, even though he doesn’t deserve it, and you start what you’ve waited so long to do. 

You rip Toshinori’s pants off and down to his ankles, leaving his privates exposed for the whole world (literally) to see. No one knew where the livestream was coming from, but boy were people tuning in. 

“I barely started and there’s already 5k people watching. You got some fans, All Might!”

“What?! You’re recording this? Are you crazy?”

“Fucking insane.” you reply with a cocky smirk.

The reactions only made you laugh more, glad people were giving this the attention it deserves. You glance back over to the once strong man who’s now pleading and crying for you to go easier on him, crying that he’s sorry for doing what he did. You ignore him and keep pounding into his tight ass, the muscle fighting against the large intrusion. 

“I wonder what your beloved fans will think once they see how sad and sick you truly are, Toshinori.” You scoff, wiping a tear that rolls down his cheek. All Might couldn’t hold himself up anymore, defeated by the pain and humiliation you were causing. He fell to his elbows, but that only gave you a better angle to pound into him. “Oh wow, you’re a natural in this position! Do you do this kind of thing often, number one hero!?” you tease.

“N-No, Y/N please,” he pants, “please just give me a break.. This is too much!”

“Did you give me a break?” You thrust up into him with every word, making sure to hit deeper every time. 

“Ah! Fuck it hurts!”

“Oi, I asked you a question.”

“Huh? No, no I didn’t..” he replies, the quiver in his voice makes your clit throb. 

“So what makes you think I’d go any easier on you? Don’t ever think just because you’re all high and mighty that it can’t be stripped away in an instant- got it?”

“G-Got it! I’m sorry, Y/N, but please, I think I’ll die if you keep going!”

You let out a boisterous laugh. “The strongest man in all of Japan is going to die because of a fucking silicone dildo? Now that’s a headline.” 

Hawks: After the altercation with All Might, his popularity plummeted greatly, and while the general public was still in the dark  about who might’ve done this, everyone at the agency knew. After that, most of them tried getting on your good side, buying  you  nice things, offering to take you to lunch, anything to hopefully please the anger they bestowed upon you. But there was one guy who hadn’t bothered to try making amends. And so you figured you’d take it upon yourself. 

“Hey, Keigo!” You yelled from the doorway as you invited yourself into his office. “Have a minute?”

“Not really, but shoot.” He replies, turning to you and motioning for you to shut the door. 

“Great, it won’t take long, promise.” With Hawks, you didn’t think public humiliation would affect him in the slightest. If anything, his fans probably wanted to see him get pounded like All Might did. So you chose an alternative approach for your revenge. “Oh,  you lost something,” you giggle, picking up a loose feather from the ground. You walk over to his desk and sit adjacent to him. Although, instead of handing the feather back, you stroke it through your fingers, mindlessly playing with the sensitive accessory. 

Y/N?”

“Hm?” You look up to him, brows furrowed in feign confusion. 

“You gunna give that back?” he asks, with a tiny shake to his voice. 

“No.” You smile warmly back, holding the feather in your left hand so he doesn’t reach for it. You maintain eye contact as you bend the feather in half, hearing the small crack of the hollow bone break. Hawks inhales a breath sharply. “Oh, I thought this one was dead. My bad.” His eyes narrow while he tries to figure out what exactly you’re after. 

“What did you want to talk about?”

“Nothing, really. I was just thinking about things, and how you’re almost at the top of the hero ranks! That’s amazing, but it’s sad that the public doesn’t know how sick you really are.” You sigh, leaning back in your chair. You wrap your arm around the hero's backside, plucking a few more feathers from his crimson wings. 

“Tsk, that hurts, ya know.” 

“I’m fully aware, Keigo, I didn’t meet you yesterday.” You rolls your eyes before placing the feathers on your clothed sex and grinding up against them. Keigo lets out a quiet cry of discomfort?, anger now fuming through his eyes. “Aww, don’t get too mad now. I thought you loved using your feathers for unprofessional purposes.. You liked it when you found me in the bathroom that day.” 

“S-So this is what you’re here about?” 

“Precisely! Good job using that micro- brain of yours!” You praise him like a child. Unfazed by his dark eyes casting a deadly look upon you, you continue with your antics, using his feathers to get off in front of him, torturing the man either through pain or pleasure, but either was fine with you. 

You didn’t stop until you were sure you drained all of the energy from Kiego. Sure, it took a while because he’s stubborn as fuck, but by the end of it all, he was pleading for you to just leave. “I get it, I hurt you and now you want to hurt me too. I’m hurt, I surrender Y/N, fuck, just stop already..” You feel pleased by his words, especially when you look over to him and see the sweat gleaming on his forehead, slacked back in his chair trying to stay composed. But it wasn’t enough. You weren’t sure if it would ever be enough. 

“The longer I do this, the angrier I get. Shouldn't it be the opposite? I should feel amazing considering I got my revenge, but seeing you like this is just too good,” you lick a trail up the center of his sensitive feather, “you should cancel whatever plans you had, because I’m gunna be here for a while.”

Okay class, today we’re going to be learning about ‘research’ and why it is important.

So Critter tries to build up this idea that she was excited for Ice Queendom to make some point about RT dropping the ball (something to be expected of them really). Except anyone who knows her original video on Ice Queendom knows that she was rather pessimistic (to the point of not even looking INTO things) and her Twitter is no better.

So right off the bat we have issues. Which is continued into her first point- RT apparently screwed up in saying when Ice Queendom was going to air, only ‘very recently’ saying when it was.

... I didn’t know 11 days before it’s airing was ‘very recently’. She tries to present two screenshots of a cut RT article and a tweet (that doesn’t show its date mind you) but this tweet predates BOTH of them presumably. Why Critter didn’t just check the Twitter account is beyond me. She then tries to bitch about how RT didn’t have the episode up when they said they would, figuring it would drop at 3 AM.

... But if she had just typed in ‘Japan vs. US time zone’, one would see that the time difference is 13 hours, not 5. She likely tried converting Central Daylight Time to Japan Standard Time which, when typing that in shows...14 hours.

... No, I don’t get how she got that number. And it doesn’t even make sense to an anime viewer given that most anime air in the evening but release in the morning in the US. So logically it would follow into Ice Queendom.

Critter tries to blame RT for not explaining that it wouldn’t be released until hours later...when this is standard operating procedure for anime. She’s basically bitching the RT didn’t treat like a five year old, shaking in her voice. Over a fucking anime. That she would understand from a simple search. ... Kind of ridiculous huh?

Worst of all is that she completely skims over an ACTUAL fucking issue with RT and their ‘virtual ticket’ fiasco (tl;dr- RT released tickets for a livestream of RTX that was FREE in the past, people flipped them the bird and didn’t buy it, they walked it back YESTERDAY and hadn’t refunded the tickets) just to continue on about ‘RT DIDN’T TELL ME WHEN IT WAS RELEASING) when a SIMPLE search could have solved her problem.

And she tries to do price comparisons with Crunchyroll and RT First’s services to emphasize this, ignoring that 14-day free trial mentioned in her own screencap and acting as though she can’t just CANCEL it before having to pay. 

She STILL goes on and on, like trying to say it was scummy that they didn’t explain time zones. Tried compare it to releasing two different versions of Pokemon without explaining what the differences where (when that is a matter of CONTENT which you would be PAYING for, not RELEASE TIME). Tried comparing it to a season of Master Chief airing on Netflix but not Hulu (who do not operate under a WHOLE HALF DAY DIFFERENCE). And goes on this huge bitter rant about transparency (about a company that hospitalized their employees and have done jackshit to be transparent about their treatment since) all because, once again-

SHE DIDN’T DO HER PROPER RESEARCH.

To be fair, when I had heard of this, I expected worse. ... Only because I heard she was using Monty as a weapon. She didn’t do that (or I didn’t catch it) but it says a lot about her temper tantrum that ‘didn’t use a dead man as a weapon’ is all the credit that I can give. She fucking brushed over the unclear reaction guidelines and the ripped off customers...FOR HER OWN FAILURES.

there’s an entire plethora of reasons as to why i now find dan rather unbearable. i’ll go ahead and say my experience in the phandom was not a particularly good one. and maybe that tainted my view? probably. but it also contributes in a fair enough way for me to go “yeah, this guy ISNT great”

one reason that i’ll start with is: his fanbase. this man is literally the equivalent to a wet yoghurt lid. flaccid and useless, literally nothing about dan is special in any way. he’s not funny, he can’t act. his style of videos is very outdated (hence why he probably won’t return to story times any time soon) and yet.. the phandom will suck his dick for so little in return. he wrote a mental health book? because he suffers with mental health issues? okay. once i was constipated so now i guess im a doctor of the bowels. his humour is… god. it’s fucking horrible. he’s literally stuck in 2014 with his “im a walking funeral” jokes and “i wear black like my soul” persona like damn you got the whole room laughing 😐😐 but of course, phannies will go feral for that shit and he believes he’s good at everything he does, so now we’re supposedly being cursed with a dan howell comedy tour so… thanks world, i guess. the whole class suffers mentality.

Mild controversy yesterday that Ice Queendom got released on Crunchyroll hours before it came out on RT’s official site, meaning the people with an RT First subscription got screwed over. I’ll die before either RT or Crunchyroll ever get a penny of my money, so the whole thing was quite amusing tbh.

Anyone still supporting RoosterTeeth after all the shit they’ve pulled and controversies they’ve mired in deserve to get ripped off tbh.

i saw, they’ve been called out by a few of the rwbytubers connected with the show, including murder of birds which was shocking to me lmao. however it’s also just, for me with rooster teeth it’s very much a bitten once & twice shy situation. they’ve done this before, they haven’t fulfilled promises & we’ve just had two major controversies with them in both their court case for their complicitness in ryan haywood’s behaviour & then them charging over half a grand just for an autograph lottery.

not to mention them just cancelling a previously free livestream after they also upcharged that to 20$ & have not informed people who already paid & given them no recourse for a refund.

oh & now apparently they haven’t told people the english dub for the anime won’t be coming in time for the release of the anime & they do not have a date for when it will. so for those who subs are inaccessible, they should just sit & swivel i guess?

hey uh what's going on with travis mcelroy??? why are people 'cancelling' him???? /gen

this was stuff from a while back (like a good few months) but i was reminded by the general continued mockery a lot of people do towards him

pretty much what happened is he got upset during an among us stream and tried to talk to everyone about it but went about it in a very grand-standy and awkward way that made everyone uncomfortable.

travis has adhd and npd (narcissistic personality disorder). i have adhd and autism and have found myself in very similar situations of social discomfort and getting social cues wrong. what happened here was just another case of a person getting cues wrong and it causing discomfort within a group.

lots of people find travis' behaviour whether through his dming/tweets/jokes awkward and "cringey" and took this incident as a reason to justify what was pretty much bullying. this is a reaaaally common occurance when it comes to neurodivergent people in the public eye whose traits/symptoms show in ways the public find to be appealing. and so they ridicule them, especially on sites like 4chan and 8chan which have entire topics and threads dedicated to riling up specific or random autistic/disabled people for laughs.

what people are doing with travis is pretty much that. there are people who are pointing out some repeated toxic behaviours that come from his npd/adhd and i by no means include those people in this post. they aren't publically shaming or making fun of him and are approaching the situation in good faith.

the people I'm talking about are people who use social justice motivated reasons as covers for their behaviour. similar to how the internet jumped on top of the hating thomas sanders bandwagon. travis and thomas both dress in genderqueer fashion, they have similar humour and young audiences. neither have done anything heinously wrong. its just that when they did something "cringey" (for thomas it was defending asexuals/aromantics who were tumblrs "cringe" punching bags at the time). Travis' "crime" being creating an awkward situation on a livestream because of his neurodivergency. something pretty much all neurodivergent people do, sometimes multiple times a month or a week. except for travis it was under the public eye in a format people could replay and rip apart over and over and over.

tldr: people like supporting disabled people until our disabilities manifest in a "cringey" form, at which point they will retract their support and turn to ridicule.

Concerning certain fans complaining about a free concert while others will pay for concert plus extras, I just wonder do they also complain when fans get free tickets from radio stations who hold contests or when people get comp. tickets from work and such. It’s the same thing. Plus people seem to be forgetting that those free tickets would have been available to fans from the other bands. It’s not going to be just fans of Louis who got free tickets

Honestly I'm really puzzled by "fans" being so pressed about all this.

As I said before (in my most popular tumblr post RIP), I think the idea behind the free tickets was probably that if the event had to be cancelled, the festival organizers wouldn't have to deal with reimbursing tickets. The festival will COST money to run, from the website, ticketing system, to the supporting acts to the stage crew to the equipment to the venue etc. etc.

The price of the livestream is 17$US with fees and taxes. That includes PROFESSIONAL, HQ footage of the festival + a PROFESSIONAL mini-doc. That means cameramen, sound technicians, video editors, sound editors, a WHOLE CREW that is PAID to create that content. Charlie went to Mexico, 2-3 people probably followed Louis around for a while to get footage of the fest organization...

These people are working. Who do you think is footing the bill? Louis! (or, his company - I think in this case it was said that it was 78 Productions).

Louis chose to have the festival free "so fans don’t have to spend any more money to enjoy live music this summer". It was his choice to have the festival free; that doesn't mean he can run the WHOLE thing for free.

No one should be expected to work for free??? I know Louis is a young multimillionaire but that doesn't mean he has to pay everything out of his own pocket?

I know some fans are unable to pay for the tickets and that's very unfortunate. But there are initiatives to receive gifted tickets from other fans, to win tickets by participating in some Twitter contests, etc. + the whole thing will be shared one way or another after the event.

Projecting all this on Louis, who deserves renumeration for his work and for the ~ hundred people he employs is unfair.

Again, Louis is always held to a different standard than others. Liam's recent streaming concert was also 15$, and it wasn't a whole concert by Liam and it did not include a mini-doc and BTS footage. Were fans complaining then too?

Based on the London livestream numbers, I'm pretty sure that Louis will be able to recoup the costs with the sales of the tickets. And honestly, good for him!! get that coin my man! 💰

This was a disaster. Lennon usually tried to stop melodramatic thoughts like that from entering her head (or liked to pretend she did at least), but it was al she could think as all the lights in her room (and presumably the apartment) went out. Normally, she would love any excuse to light some candles, read by the glow, and listen to the storm raging outside. But tonight wasn’t every night. It was Friday, the night Scream Street and it’s live after show went up. The group had been texting all day, as it was storming there and in the college town about an hour away where most of the rest of the cast and crew lived. Luckily, Liam (tech guy and editor extraordinaire) got the actual podcast episode out on time, but the after show livestream was about to start soon -or was supposed to- but if the group chat was any indication, they were all out of power. It sucked.

“Well, shit. Sorry guys.” Becca, Head Writer and one half of the Dynamic Duo behind Scream Street sent the group. “I think we’re gonna have to take the L on this one. We’ll do an extra special liveshow for the Screamers tomorrow.” Lennon’s heart plummeted. Fridays were legitimately one of her favorite nights of the week because of this, and it sucked to have it ripped away. On top of disappointing the fans, even if they could hopefully do a make up stream tomorrow. “I’ll make the official tweet.” Jess, the artist, social media manager, and other half of the Dynamic Duo (and Becca’s girlfriend) texted. “I’ll retweet it. And tweet myself, just in case.” Lennon finally added, still feeling the disappointment she knew everyone else was too. The conversation fizzled out and Lennon pulled up her twitter app, retweeted ScreamStreet’s tweet and tweeted from her own handle, notyourfinalgirl. In the middle of all of that, her dad texted her, asking if she was okay and that he’d be up from the diner as soon as he could and to please check on Odessa.

Lennon stood, walking to her dresser and lighting one of her tall pillar candles. She lifted it, using the soft glow to light her way from her room to Odessa’s door. She used the walk to brace herself for what she’d find. It wasn’t exactly a secret that she and Odessa didn’t exactly get along, and she was already upset and disappointed about the livestream getting canceled. When she was outside her stepsister’s door, she took a deep breath and knocked using the hand that wasn’t holding her candle, waiting a second before cracking it open, the candle lighting her face. “Hey, Dad wanted me to make sure you’re okay since the power’s out. He’s handling stuff in the diner since they closed early because of the weather. But are you good?”

On synastry and how to approach it

If you follow me you may have noticed few of my posts where I'm fixating on the fact that I don't know a certain person's birth date. And I said I'm sensing a nice Venus-Mars connection and honestly now that I think about it, I feel like Jupiter is heavily underlined in here as well. So that made me think of synastry a lot (not that I don't think about it on daily basis) and it made me want to elaborate a bit. Also because I see this weird approach where people single out certain aspects and turn them into "make it or break it" kind of deal and that is just wrong.

Actually it's similar with natal charts. The difference here is obvious - you have two individuals which means double the options in which way the energy may go and more potential for aspects to cancel each other out. So while natal interpretations of, for example, planets in the houses will resonate with you, all the black and white interpretations of synastry house overlays belong in the dumpster imho. And I knooow, I knoooow, one of my first posts was about house overlays. It was very generalized one and I did disclaim to take the entire chart into consideration. But sometimes I see these descriptions where people say "oh my god Venus in the 8th house! This is highly sexual aspect!" But what if none of the people have their Mars nor Venus activated, maybe except for a Venus-Saturn square that puts a big dump on the whole thing. Also, this may as well indicate taking care of shared resources (because that's one of the main themes of the 8th). Besides - and that's my personal take - overlays are less important than aspects between planets unless a) you’re putting a stellium in someone’s house b) it's about angles, because having the same planet as someone's ascendant is a big thing and I can guarantee you that most of the people you create bonds with will have that configuration with you.

Speaking of which, the type of people you attract is highly dependant on your chart. Angles are important but so are aspects and planet placements. I'll give you an example based on my own natal chart, because, obviously, I know myself well and I pay attention to charts of the people I come in contact with. As an Aquarius rising, I attract a lot of Aqua personal planets, Leo risings and people with personal planets in Leo - surprisingly not a single Leo Sun. As a Sagittarius dominant person, most of my friends are Gemini Moons or Sag Moons. Surprisingly I only befriended one Gemini Sun in my life + my belowed dog who was a Gemini. My Aries Moon makes me weak for Aries Suns. Sun is opposite Mars (5th house) - it, again, points to Aries (and Scorpios as well). Dominant fire element and Aries in the 3rd (easy communication) helps here a lot. Having Sagittarius in the 11th (house of friends) and Jupiter in the 7th (house of partnerships), I tend to be friends with other Sadges BUT that Jupiter in the 7th makes me very attracted to Pisces as well. So DO take classic rulership into consideration!

That leads me to another point - modalities. I have a lot of mutable energy so I love other mutable energies. SQUARES omg, especially in romantic/sexual relationships. They do bring tension but hear me out. You need trines and sextiles but squares bring spice. I can guarantee you that having a flowing Mars-Venus contact will give you a pleasant feelings for one another, easiness in communication and a natural synchronicity, but it's the square that will make you wanna rip each other's clothes off. Soooo... I mean, whichever you prefer I guess. Squares are also stimulating, with trines the energy flows nicely, squares bring interest... it's a different element, but the same modality... a perfect mix to make you drawn to the other person. It's similar yet intriguing. Another example, as a Sag Venus my tastes concerning arts and music should clash with a Pisces Venus - that’s what a textbook definition will tell you - but surprise, surprise, half of my favourite artists have Venus in Pisces.

Now with oppositions it's a completely different thing. I think they work wonderful when there are yin-yang planets involved. As I mentioned earlier, as a Sagittarius Sun I love Gemini Moons. They compliment each other. The thing is, with opposites you either get each other or you just pass each other. So it fluctuates. I've noticed that especially when there's the same planet involved. Two people having Mercury opposition will get each other so well they will finish each other's sentences one day and then completely miss the mark the next. Like two vehicles driving in opposite directions.

Trines aren't 100% amaaaazing. I know many people who, like me, have inner planets in fire signs and our values, ways of thinking and approach to certain issues are completely different. We do express them in the same manner though, which is by being loud lol. Trines also bring laziness so if you have too many of them the relationship may just fizzle out. Sextiles on the other hand are so underappreciated. Air fuels fire and water nourishes the earth - it’s way more interesting than a trine where both signs are in the same element, imho. Some astrologers will tell you sextiles are "weaker" but that's just stupid. They’re just as important, okay?  

Sometimes you don't even have to have an actual aspect. Whoa, I know, mind-blown. But I see that constantly. Obviously having planets in a tight aspects is very important but let's say you have Aquarius Venus at 5° and the other person has Sun in Aqua at 20°. They don't make an aspect but it's the same sign, therefore you're going to express these energies in the same manner - which makes you compatible (tho I don't like that word). Now the smaller the orb, the more significant the aspect is. I've read somewhere that the aspect with the tightest orb kind of represents the theme of the relationship - I haven't been able to really analyze this theory tho. When it comes to orbs overall, Alexander Von Pronay is suggesting to use aspects up to 7°. I'd do that and then look at aspects under 2° to really see which energies are stronger. Liz Greene said that if you're feeling an aspect, even if the orb is wider, well, you're feeling it and it's there. I suspect it may depend on what energies you're sensitive to. If, for example, your chart ruler is Venus, you may feel Venus aspects more. And then with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto I'd say up to 2°.  

What's actually awesome are so called double whammies. It's when the same two planets are aspected both ways. So A person's Sun is trining B's Venus and B's Venus is sextile A's Sun. Or A's Moon is conjunct B's Sun and B's Sun is opposite A's Moon. I like double whammies cause they provide mutuality. People often ask "wHo FeeLs iT mORe????". First of all, there's no clear answer to that because everyone's different and their charts are different and some respond to the energy one way and some, other. That's why I like to ask people: well, how do YOU feel about that aspect (if you, of course, know astrology well enough to pinpoint the energy). But with double whammies you basically exchange the same aspect so, hopefully, in 99%, it will be mutual.

What I also love is having the same aspect natally. Let's say you have a Mars-Mercury trine natally and the other person has it conjoined. That is awesome. It's like going through the same experiences in life and going "yeah! I went through that too! I understand!" Better yet if then those planets also make an aspect in the synastry chart. It's great. You're going to vibe so much.

About mutuality... A few weeks ago I was watching a livestream from Nina and Shaina from Party Trick Astrology (love those girls) and they were talking about synastry so I asked them a question related to these things cause, you know, I bet they've seen hundreds of charts and I'm always curious about other people's observations. So I asked about mutuality and one of them gave an example of a girl whose Venus was beautifully aspected by a guy and the guy's Venus not being aspected at all. And how this, for example, pointed to the guy being into the girl but not vice versa. And I thought that's interesting because I'd assume it would be the other way around. Her planets didn't activate his Venus so he shouldn't be into her romantically. And I actually experienced that myself one time. I had this Aqua friend and had literally zero aspects to my Venus. Not even a semi-sextile, not even a quincunx, not even a wide generational planet connection. And I didn't see him through these romantic lens. So I guess there are no rules to this. OR it’s all about projection (which btw happens a lot in astrology). That's why I like to look at synastry charts and just get the overall vibe. 

Now with that being said, the shocker. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ASPECTS WITH THE OTHER PERSON AT ALL. I know, a bummer. Here we, astrology junkies, are in the lookout for the perfect synastry chart but as I look at charts of celebrity couples I often see them having no Sun connections, no Venus or Mars connections, lame Moon aspects etc. That is indeed disappointing. That's why I was so stoked about that Britney-Justin synastry. Because I don't see connections like that one between all the "it” couples of today.

So I guess... astrology is bullshit... Nah, just kidding. But it is complex. Sometimes it’s quality over quantity. And you should approach synastry as a whole, just feel it out, you know? And I’ll leave you with that for today because it’s getting long.

He says you’d say that’s insane, why would a “victim” (hand quote) dress up as a dude so they could be on Hansen’s show twice and get clout twice? Says he (James) never spoke to or met Regina. He says he heard Regina and Shiloh were ripped apart on lolcow or 4chan, says just like everyone else who is mentally whack. Says apparently Regina pretended to be a transgender person. Again, says study the footage and compare Regina and Adam. - Says Luxymoo was 20-something when he had a conversation with her. Says he told her he needed someone to keep Kai company while he was working, so if she wanted to date Kai that’s fine. He says he told her he (James) doesn’t have to be part of the relationship. Says she’s a “victim” (hand quote) even though he never met her. - (Lists Shiloh’s lies during their relationship.) Says he only calls Shiloh crazy because Sarah is not as nutzo as Shiloh and Billie is not as nutzo as Sarah. Billie is the most mentally sound, even though she’s vindictive and has anger problems. - Says Maya was debunked hard. He says he posted her texts about how into him she was and how she was sorry and wanted to try again. He says he asked her out and kissed her on the lips when she said yes. [He puts his hands up] “Sorry, I guess I wasn’t supposed to do that.” [in a mocking tone.] Says she got mad at him because he asked to pick her up and carry her to the other room so they could play VR and she said yes. Says she was 24 at the time. - Says you guys don’t care about the actual facts. Unless you were the one hiding something. He says it would be weird for someone who talks as much as him to go quiet. - (Hansen is a fraud, he made a lot of money off of alleged victims) - Says there’s an alleged show that’s asking commentary Youtubers to be on. They weren’t there. How desperate are they? Asks if you watched a documentary and thought how great would it be if that random commentary Youtuber was in it? Says they didn’t even ask the guy who the show is about for comment. - Asks where all the funds go for the TV show. Asks if people are paid to be pretend victims. - Tells his audience to compare Regina and Adam again. Said a Hansen insider [Vincent? lmao] told him they were the same person. He says he already suspected it, but the insider told him without him asking. Says it’s demented and crazy to go on a show twice pretending to be two different people. Says it’s said Regina’s a hardcore drug user and it might have fried their brain. Says he doesn’t know and Regina should speak about it. - Says he was told the people he dumped had a falling out.  - Says he tried to work things out with Billie after, but she said “haha f-you.” Says Billie dumped Kai once in a car. - Says it’s clear the show is not for justice. If you want justice, you go to the police or get a lawyer. They are trying to be a victim. Money is the root of all evil and if you follow they money, you’ll see the patterns. If they pretend to be heroes, why don’t they support charity? - He says if the company who is making the show has a lot of money, he can sue them. If you watch all his videos and aren’t mentally ill, it’s beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is nonsense. - Someone asked why he made this the theme of this channel. He says people won’t drop it and let him move on. He won’t stop fighting for the truth, even if it drives his channel into the ground. - (They are framing him because he dumped them.) - Says someone walked in on his video and he had to cut it. - Says Shiloh’s been stalking him for 10 years. Tells her to move on, why are you obsessed? - Says if you were being honest, why would you not show up on a show? Says if they don’t want to collect money, they can donate it to charity. He tells the show, Edwin, Repzion, and Hansen to donate to TWLOHA if they care about actual victims. - He says using me too to get money is a guaranteed gateway to hell. Says real victims don’t want to report it because they don’t want to talk about it or see their abuser again. Says they were obsessively talking about him. Says he heard Sarah was playing a drinking game while watching his videos. He says she wasn’t really his ex because she sexually extorted him when she was an adult. Says she’s a rapist and she admitted it. She was beyond 18 by some time. - Says it’s sad there’s no consolation prize for him for being framed and sexually extorted. The silver lining is he can tell his viewers to avoid relationships with people who pretend to be victims. He tried to save Shiloh and Sarah. Shiloh faked a rape, car accident, pregnancy. Sarah said she was beat by her mom and raped. - Says Shiloh implied she started talking to him when she was 16. He says that’s not true, unless she emailed him. Says he got a lot of emails. Says she made a comment that he only paid attention to her because she was a Canadian popstar. He says that’s true and he only emailed her back because it was good for his career. He said it wasn’t about her age and that’s why Kai lied about his age. Kai knew if he didn’t lie about his age, James would have stopped talking to him. By the time James found out the truth, he already fell for him. It was legal. Says there’s taboo and there’s the law. - Says a dude can stab 20 people, but people will still just make videos and a documentary about how he broke up with a girl for being a criminal.  - Says he can’t trust anyone anymore. Sarah told him she’d never be like Billie or Shiloh and they were evil. She would up being them. Says Sarah was the most criminal of them all and bragged about it on twitter. He asks if they’ll include that on the documentary.

Hiya Lovelies!

I said that I’d make a post about the musicians I love, these are some of the smaller musicians I follow that definitely deserve more love and recognition. Did anyone ask for this? No… Is that going to stop me making this post? Absolutely not!

Bry 

My all time favourite musician ever! I absolutely adore this man and want nothing but the best for him, I’ve followed him for about 7 years and I’ve been to 10 of his shows (and I would do many many more). He is genuinely one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met, he’s just gentle and sweet and has a beautiful Irish accent. He’s just the definition of gentle giant (he’s 6’6, so he stands well over a foot taller than me).  He’s not that active online anymore and isn’t looking at releasing any new music any time soon which is a shame, but I would still wholeheartedly recommend his older stuff. Two of my favourite songs aren’t available on streaming services (sigh…) these songs being ‘Home’ and ‘Fall’ (not ‘Fall in Place’ but that is an absolutely lovely song). His newest EP ‘Love Pop Suicide’ is brilliant and his last single ‘Why Are You Bothering With Me?’ is so so good, the video for WAYBWM makes me feel so many things because it’s full of clips from all his past videos. ‘Disarm’ is another banger, as are ‘Care’, ‘Adventure Time’ and ‘You’re Alright’. I’ve said for years if my first wedding dance isn’t to ‘Your Life Over Mine’ then I will just straight up leave my oen wedding. Oh my goodness I could go on and on! I was meant to be getting a tattoo earlier in the year with a quote from his song ‘Astronauts’ but quarantine put that on hold. Just look at him! He’s such a lamb, I was so so happy that night 💛

Conchúr White

Another absolutely lovely Irish fella, he’s a total sweetheart! I met him in October at a city festival (I specifically bought a ticket for this to see him) and he was so lovely to talk to. I wish I could go back to that time because I think I smiled for 3 weeks straight afterwards, even when I think about it now I get ridiculously giddy! I was meant to see him play his first headline show in Dublin 3 weeks ago but alas that plan was cancelled, hopefully I’ll be able to make it to the rescheduled date. He released his debut EP ‘Bikni Crops’ in March and it’s honestly so good! The title track ‘Bikini Crops’ is amazing, but I think ‘Daisies’ is my favourite on the EP. He’s got some brilliant unreleased tracks that I heard at the festival and through livestreams, I cannot wait for him to release ‘The Woman in the War’, I have a video of that on my phone and I just adore it! His songs are beautifully written and he’s an excellent storyteller, he’s a very small musician and I think he deserves so much more recognition!  

Silences 

So Silences was the band that Conchúr was originally part of and that’s how I found him. They were a great little band until they separated to do their own projects in early 2018. I’ve followed them for a fair few years (maybe 5 years now) and I love their sound so much, they’re just really chill and great to just vibe to. I really like ‘Cops and Robbers’ at the moment and I’ve been learning ‘There’s a Wolf’ on guitar recently. ‘Red Dress’ and ‘All these Crimes’ are also great songs. I’m not usually a fan of covers but their cover of Thin Lizzy’s ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ is so so good! 

Dave Giles

Well Dave is one of the best songwriters I’ve ever heard, his songs are just beautiful! I saw him once in 2017 when he was supporting Bry and that was when I started listening to him but didn’t pay that much attention to him in all honesty. Then he released his newest album ‘Tennessee & 48th’ and oh boy! I sure did regret sleeping on his music! It’s such a good album, honestly any song on that album is worth a listen. I particularly like ‘No One Knows’, ‘Devil in a Green Dress’, ‘Last Man on the Moon’, and ‘Shoebox’ but for real any song on that album in particular is amazing! Like any musician, he’s a bit of an odd fella and he doesn’t wear shoes when he performs (I don’t know if I fear or admire him for that), but he’s pretty sound and he’s a massive space nerd too so his twitter is interesting to follow. This is the only photo I have with him, just don’t question the hat…

I don’t really know what to say about this band, mainly because I know nothing about them… They released one album in 2011 and then disappeared off the face of the earth, they fluctuate between 1 and 3 monthly listeners on Spotify, although once it did peak at 5. I really like their song ‘Five Working Senses’ and I encourage you to check them out. Maybe we can get them to 6 listeners!

Temples 

This is probably the most popular group on this post but they are a band that I got into quite recently after winning some tickets to one of their gigs in a Twitter giveaway and I had a great time! It was my last concert before quarantine and I wish I’d just enjoyed myself more (I also tried to invite the guy that I liked at the time and he straight up said no so rip me). I’ve mostly been listening to their album ‘Hot Motion’ and it’s sooo good, I’d never really ventured into psychedelic rock before and I’ve got to admit that I am a fan now. They are a trip back in time to look at, imagine a proper old school 70s rock band with the big collared shirts, flared pants, platforms, long hair, everything! Absolutely brilliant! I love their songs ‘The Howl’ and ‘The Beam’; I listen to them a lot in shower and they just make things a bit more fun. ‘Atomise’ is another great one, but it kind of makes me want to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling for a few hours not because it’s sad or anything, it just has a very specific vibe.

So there's some of the "smaller" musicians I love, I'm planning on doing a post about the bigger ones I like. Have heard of any of them before? If you decided to check them out, what did you think? I'd love to hear what people think!
